Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a self-directed Area Purchasing Manager to support the Corrugated business within Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. This role leads local procurement execution, supports storeroom operations, partners with Operations and functional teams, and drives procurement best practices across assigned Corrugated facilities.

This site-based role may sit at Waxahachie, TX or Denton, TX, with travel between locations and 20% overnight travel expected.

Qualifications

Experience with inventory or storeroom management.
Experience sourcing, purchasing, or supporting procurement in a manufacturing or facilities environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
Willing to travel 20% between locations, including overnight stays.
Experience evaluating spending and reducing total cost of ownership.
Experience supporting procurement transformation and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead purchasing and support stores across Corrugated facilities, ensuring disciplined processes.
Build partnerships with site leaders, operations, and suppliers to deliver long-term value.
Source, purchase, negotiate, and manage inventory, MRO, services and vendor needs.
Streamline procurement processes across locations and network.
Drive use of local, regional, and national contract agreements.
