Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC is seeking a self-directed Area Purchasing Manager to support Corrugated operations. This site-based role will lead local procurement, support storeroom operations, and partner with Operations and functional teams to drive best practices across facilities.

Travel up to 20% between Waxahachie and Denton locations is expected, with a focus on optimizing working capital, inventory levels, and supplier engagement while ensuring compliance with corporate procurement standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory or storeroom management.
• Experience sourcing, purchasing, or supporting procurement in manufacturing or facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Willing and able to travel 20% of the time between supported locations, including overnight travel.
• Experience evaluating spending, improving purchasing processes, and reducing total cost of ownership.
• Experience supporting procurement transformation, process change, root‑cause identification, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and store support across Corrugated facilities, ensuring disciplined procurement.
• Build partnerships with site leaders and stakeholders to deliver long-term value.
• Source, purchase, negotiate, and manage inventory, MRO, services, and external vendor needs.
• Streamline procurement processes across locations and the Corrugated network.
• Drive use of contract agreements for goods and services.
• Identify local spending opportunities for competitive bidding and cost optimization.
• Optimize working capital and storeroom execution while ensuring continuity.
• Collaborate with teams to implement procurement transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety and fiduciary policies.
