Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a self-directed Area Purchasing Manager to support the Corrugated business within Strategic Sourcing & Procurement. This site-based role leads local procurement execution, supports storeroom operations, partners with Operations and functional teams, and drives procurement best practices across assigned Corrugated facilities.

The ideal candidate has experience in strategic and tactical purchasing, stores, inventory, and supply chain, with a collaborative approach to

Qualifications

• Experience with inventory or storeroom management.
• Experience sourcing, purchasing, or supporting procurement in manufacturing or facilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Willing and able to travel 20% between locations.

Responsibilities

• Lead purchasing and storeroom operations across Corrugated facilities.
• Partner with site leaders and stakeholders to deliver long-term value.
• Source, purchase, negotiate, and manage inventory, MRO, and services.
• Streamline procurement processes across locations and network.
• Drive use of contract agreements at various levels.
• Identify local spending opportunities for bidding and TCO improvements.
• Optimize working capital and storeroom execution.
• Collaborate to implement procurement transformation initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety, fiduciary, stores, and environmental policies.
• Create value through supplier engagement and process improvements.
