Job summary
Haco Culinary in City of Industry, CA is seeking a Purchasing Specialist II to oversee sourcing, procurement, and supplier management for raw materials, packaging, and ingredients. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will drive cost savings and improve ERP data integrity to ensure uninterrupted production.
You will collaborate with Operations, Production Planning, QA, R&D, Finance, and suppliers to optimize spend, negotiate favorable terms, and support continuous improvement across
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- 5-8 years purchasing/procurement in food manufacturing.
- Proven negotiation of supplier contracts with cost savings.
- ERP/MRP systems experience (Ross, SAP, Oracle, MS Dynamics, NetSuite).
- Strong analytical skills with purchasing/inventory/financial data.
- Advanced Excel: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query.
Responsibilities
- Source raw materials, packaging, ingredients, and indirect categories.
- Develop and execute supplier negotiation strategies to reduce costs.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, lead times, rebates, and agreements.
- Conduct supplier bidding (RFQ/RFP) and evaluations.
- Analyze total cost of ownership and report savings.
- Maintain supplier scorecards and performance metrics.
- Support ERP/Procurement analytics and data integrity.
