Job summary

Florida Panthers Hockey Club is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to source, evaluate, and procure goods and services essential to daily operations. You will manage vendor relationships, track purchase orders from request to delivery, and align procurement with budget constraints across departments.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and Excel.

Qualifications

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency with purchasing/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on price, quality, reliability, and delivery timelines.
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders (POs) through fulfillment.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors within assigned category.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock.
• Resolve discrepancies related to pricing, delivery, quality, or invoicing.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and vendor documentation.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Operations, department heads) to forecast needs and align purchasing with budget.
• Research market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
• Assist with vendor onboarding and accounts payable process.

This is a full-time, Exempt position. Must be able to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed..
