Job summary

Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, CA is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and receiving for food, beverage, and non-perishables, coordinating with departments to maximize value and quality.

You will supervise the Purchasing Supervisor and associates, drive supplier negotiations, and ensure compliance with Omni policies while fostering strong vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• Storeroom experience in a high-volume, upscale hotel setting.
• Excellent guest service skills and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Good judgment and quick decision-making abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily purchasing and receiving operations for the resort.
• Supervise the Purchasing Supervisor and staff; provide coaching.
• Attend F&B and related meetings; assist with forecasts.
• Coordinate with chefs on menu events and inventory parity.
• Partner with Controller on controls and training for staff.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in purchasing processes.
• Manage vendor relationships, bids, and contracts.
• Ensure purchases comply with Omni policies and budgets.
• Oversee Birch Street activity: POs, receiving, vendor data.
• Collaborate with departments to forecast needs and savings.
• Monitor vendor performance and bid procedures; adjust as needed.
• Oversee receiving to ensure accurate deliveries and records.
• Support monthly inventories and reconcile variances.
• Resolve invoice/vendor discrepancies with AP.
