Job summary

Michael Foods, Inc. is seeking a Purchasing and Production Scheduling Manager to oversee procurement of raw materials and packaging, and to develop daily production schedules for the West Jefferson, OH facility.

The role focuses on minimizing obsolescence, meeting customer demand, and coordinating with production and QA teams. The ideal candidate has strong planning, SAP experience, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Operations.

Responsibilities

• Generate and execute purchase orders for packaging and raw materials to meet inventory levels and demand.
• Balance and manage inventories to achieve targets and inventory turns.
• Identify potential out-of-stock situations and expedite replenishment orders.
• Communicate product shortages to internal/external contacts.
• Develop and maintain the master production schedule in SAP.
• Assist in daily production meetings and update status of materials and production.
• Lead cross-functional continuous improvement activities.
• Maintain SAP master data for ingredients, packaging and finished goods.
