Job summary

CDW is seeking a Manager, Purchasing to lead the purchasing of hardware, services and software for drop ship and inventory. You will manage a team, drive cost-effective procurement strategies, and strengthen supplier partnerships to meet objectives.

You will implement strategic initiatives, ensure service levels, optimize procedures, and mentor staff while collaborating with Sales, IT, Product Management and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 6 years of purchasing, procurement, or pricing experience, or 10 years of experience.
• 1 year of experience managing people.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with senior leadership.
• Experience in the technology industry and building partner relationships with top manufacturers and distribution partners.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain strategic purchasing initiatives and goals to meet corporate objectives.
• Drive service level expectations with our suppliers and address underperforming vendors.
• Review current procedures to ensure consistency and optimal execution.
• Enhance internal and external customer and vendor relationships.
• Maintain open communication and effective partnerships with all internal stakeholders cross-functionally.
• Lead and develop team members to ensure capabilities to achieve results.
• Identify areas of process improvements and implement changes.
• Establish primary suppliers for all product lines.
• Manage daily inventory goals, back-orders, aging inventory, buy-ins, and RFP practices.
