Job summary

Rain for Rent is seeking a Purchasing Manager to partner with branch leadership, operations, service teams and suppliers to optimize total cost and inventory performance. You will develop scalable strategies, build strong supplier relationships and deliver measurable value while balancing service, cost and readiness.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in purchasing, with extensive knowledge of contracts, RFQs, and vendor negotiations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of purchasing experience and/or training required
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or related field

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Rain for Rent procurement strategy to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
• Lead vendor negotiations for pricing, rebates, payment terms, service levels, and contract protections.
• Consolidate vendors across branches to reduce duplication and strengthen supplier accountability.
• Use spend data and category performance to identify savings opportunities and track procurement results.
• Partner with operations, finance, fleet, and facilities to standardize requirements and support business continuity.
