Stanley Martin Homes is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Manager to oversee contracting and purchasing for home production. You will manage budgets, finalize contracts, and maintain master agreements while negotiating pricing with trade partners to drive cost savings.

You will coordinate bids, test costs, and update ERP systems to align pricing and labor with company goals. Collaboration with multiple departments is essential for smooth operations and consistent results.

Qualifications

• Purchasing Manager or construction experience in residential construction.
• Project management skills to demonstrate experiences with managing projects effectively.
• Exceptional Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong communication skills verbally and in writing.
• Creative thinking skills showing ability to generate new ideas and approaches to problem solve.
• Adaptability and eagerness to learn and pick up new skills as work environment changes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracting and purchasing to support smooth production of homes.
• Manage budgets, finalize contracts, and maintain master agreements.
• Negotiate pricing with trade partners and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate bids, market-test costs, and update ERP systems to align with company goals.
• Collaborate with Land, Production, Sales, and Back Office to keep division operations effective.
