Job summary

dormakaba is seeking a Purchasing Manager based in Chino, CA. You will lead the plant's Purchasing team and collaborate with regional and global purchasing professionals to secure materials for manufacturing and assembly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years purchasing experience in a mid-sized manufacturing environment with leadership/ supervision experience
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of S&OP processes
• Independent sourcing of fabricated sheet metal, machined and electromechanical components
• Basic understanding of manufacturing drawings and interaction with engineers
• Excellent procurement and purchasing functions knowledge; familiarity with inventory control and MRP systems

Responsibilities

• Oversee purchasing department activities at plant level and provide leadership for local purchasing team
• Collaborate with regional and global dormakaba purchasing professionals and with multiple plant departments
• Plan and develop purchasing strategies aligned with regional and corporate objectives
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to source new suppliers, materials, and ideas for cost savings
• Manage and coordinate projects to improve purchasing and materials efficiency
