Confidential Manufacturing Company is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead procurement operations in a manufacturing setting. You will drive cost-saving initiatives, negotiate with suppliers, manage vendor relationships, and ensure material availability to support production goals.

The role emphasizes ownership of the purchasing function, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and a focus on continuous improvement and ISO 9001 compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong supplier negotiation and vendor management experience.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
• Background in inventory planning and purchasing forecasting.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Plastics manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead all purchasing and procurement activities
• Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with production goals
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
• Manage vendor relationships, supplier performance, and contract negotiations
• Forecast purchasing requirements and optimize inventory levels
• Oversee purchase orders, shipment tracking, and procurement records
• Partner with production, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure material availability
• Review and reconcile invoices and resolve purchasing discrepancies
• Research new suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Develop and maintain SOPs supporting ISO 9001 compliance
• Utilize ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing and inventory data
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the purchasing function
