Job summary

Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. (EOHI) seeks a Purchasing Manager in Houston, TX to lead a purchasing team and drive cost-effective procurement aligned with budget and policies.

The role emphasizes strategy, supplier management, and data-driven decision making to optimize inventory levels and support customer demand while maximizing profitability. A Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, industrial distribution, business administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, purchasing, distribution, or related field.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Procurement Strategy - develop the future direction of the purchasing department to optimize the purchasing process, adopt new technology to enhance purchasing efficiencies and enhance the overall outcome of purchasing for Hydraquip.
• Own and enforce company policies and procedures pertaining to the purchase of inventory and non-inventory material and other relevant procurement activities.
• Establish and maintain standards for the upkeep of accurate current and historical records and system data pertaining to supplier pricing, discounting, and other relevant procurement information.
• Develop and report on KPIs related to inventory management and supplier performance.
• Manage purchase requisitions from the sales staff to ensure alignment with policies, goals, and budget constraints.
• Ensure purchasing documents are completed properly and terms are appropriate.
• Responsible for procurement of a select number of product lines.
• Oversee daily activities of the purchasing team, set expectations, provide guidance, and ensure roles are understood.
• Participate in recruitment and training for the purchasing team.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and establish KPIs to track performance.
• Support continual improvement and ISO 9001:2015 compliance.
