Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent education.
• Minimum three years’ experience in direct purchasing functions.
• Minimum three years’ negotiation and quoting experience.
• Minimum three years negotiation, sourcing events, international purchasing and domestic/international supplier management preferred.
• Previous automotive supply chain experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop commodity buyers with performance metrics.
• Drive QCD improvements with suppliers to deliver best quality, cost and delivery.
• Conduct market and supplier risk analyses (including USMCA, tariff fluctuations, and geopolitical risks) and perform total‑cost‑of‑ownership (TCO) assessments.
• Lead import tariff related issues and monthly tariff reporting.
• Support launch teams to ensure projects are completed on time.
• Manage RFQs and resourcing activities with cross‑functional teams.
• Visit suppliers to verify contract fulfillment and protect Prospira’s interests.
• Set and track annual/quarter cost‑reduction targets.
• Negotiate best prices and service guarantees with suppliers.
• Review market trends to secure optimal pricing.
• Lead the direct buyer team in developing new supply sources.
• Review supplier bids and award decisions for resourcing projects.
