The position involves air/sea/freight coordination, a two-weeks-on/two-weeks-off rotation, and leadership of the Purchasing and Logistics groups. Strong supply chain, communication, and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field; 5+ years of relevant experience.
• APICS or ISM certifications preferred.
• Strong Excel and Access skills.
• Mining or heavy industry experience preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated leadership in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement and logistics operations, ensuring least total cost.
• Coordinate PO creation and approvals consistent with legal requirements.
• Lead sealift logistics and transport modes; effective logistics planning.
• Develop relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms.
• Schedule deliveries to optimize sealift economics.
• Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customs.
• Set objectives and evaluate performance for the team.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve quality.
