Job summary

Perry Homes is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, drive cost efficiency, and manage trade contracts. You will collaborate with Construction and Estimating teams to support timely homebuilding operations and ensure contract compliance.

Responsibilities include negotiating with major vendors, managing supplier performance, and developing sourcing strategies to optimize pricing and terms across Texas markets. Requires travel to Houston and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 5+ years negotiating experience with leadership responsibility.
• Minimum 2+ years supervisory experience in a related role.
• Strong knowledge of estimating and purchasing principles for residential construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of the companys purchasing strategy aligned with operations.
• Develop sourcing strategies, pricing structures, negotiation guidelines, and vendor programs.
• Evaluate trade base and onboard new vendors to maintain competitive supplier pool.
• Manage contract renewals, updates, and addendums per market conditions.
• Oversee supplier relationships, including risk mitigation and continuity of supply.
• Coach Purchasing Agents in pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements.
