Job summary

LISI Aerospace in California is seeking a seasoned Purchasing Manager to lead site purchasing, ensuring compliant supply of materials, services and tooling to support production and customer commitments.

Responsibilities include coaching buyers, negotiating terms, coordinating with planning, and driving cost-reduction projects while maintaining supplier performance and adherence to HSE policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in supply chain, business, operations, engineering, finance, or related field.
• Five or more years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading or supervising purchasing or supply chain personnel.
• Strong negotiation, supplier performance management, cost-analysis, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and data-analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches and develops buyers or purchasing clerks in negotiation, supplier management and cost analysis.
• Supervises purchasing personnel and guides workflow to meet production requirements.
• Reviews or establishes purchasing procedures and sets standards for purchasing execution.
• Coordinates with planning/operations to mitigate shortages and support production schedules.
• Conducts spend analysis and leads cost-reduction initiatives to optimize total cost.
• Supports supplier qualification, approval, development and ASL maintenance.
• Leads supplier performance reviews and coordinates corrective actions for quality or delivery.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and HSE guidelines.
