Job summary

FPL Food, LLC in Thomasville, GA, is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead procurement, inventory management, and forecasting for the plant. You will ensure materials, ingredients, packaging, maintenance supplies, chemicals, PPE, and other operating items are available at the right time and cost.

You will develop inventory strategies, forecast needs from production plans and historical usage, maintain data accuracy, lead staff, and partner with all departments to prevent production interruptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Minimum of five years purchasing and inventory-management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Minimum of two years supervisory or team-lead experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant-wide procurement and inventory management processes.
• Ensure materials meet specifications and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory data and supplier records.
• Develop inventory strategies and forecasts based on production plans and usage.
• Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and corrective actions.
