Job summary

Dream Finders Homes, Inc. is seeking a Director of Purchasing for new home construction. You will lead procurement, coordinate with construction teams, and manage trade partners to optimize cost and quality across communities.

The role requires a business degree and 7+ years in purchasing with strong construction knowledge, exceptional communication, and proficiency in MS Office. On-site duties apply in a fast-paced residential build environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• Seven (7) years minimum experience as purchasing manager or agent.
• High degree of construction knowledge: including multi-family.
• Exceptional communication skills -- both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task while meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills and time management skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Assist in product development to suggest floor plans, which work with project proformas.
• Create performas for new communities for review by Corporate & Division President.
• Keep up to date with competitors' products and prepare product specifications for each new project.
• Negotiate contracts with trade partners and approve all extras.
• Coordinate with VP and/or Directors of Construction, Customer Care and construction managers on evaluation of trade partners.
• Coordinate and cooperate with Director of Supply Chain Management and regional purchasing efforts.
