Job summary

ECS is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join our Plano, TX office. You will conduct strategic needs assessments, manage end-to-end sourcing, and perform market analyses to expand our supplier base and optimize costs.

The role requires 13+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree, and proficiency with CAMS, Enterprise Data Warehouse, and Coupa. You will negotiate terms, evaluate proposals, and ensure contract compliance with a focus on value and delivery excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• Ability to pass a public trust background check is required.
• 13+ years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency with tools: CAMS, Enterprise Data Warehouse, Coupa (eBuyPlus/eSourcing).
• MS Office Suite proficiency, especially MS Excel.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform strategic sourcing and needs assessment across services, supplies, and equipment.
• Lead end-to-end buy cycles, including RFPs, proposals, negotiations, and contract administration.
• Evaluate proposals for total cost of ownership and supplier capability.
• Plan and conduct negotiations on price and terms; develop negotiation strategy.
• Prepare contract award recommendations and manage contract modifications.
• Assist in supplier diversity planning and compliance, and drive savings in supply chain processes.
