Job summary

Saint‑Gobain is seeking a BU Purchasing Manager who will drive BU level purchasing performance and coordinate with site teams and category managers. The role also acts as Category Manager, creating sourcing strategies, leading RFPs, and implementing supply agreements with a focus on cost reduction and risk management.

You will work with R&D to qualify alternate suppliers, support new product development, and promote cross‑functional purchasing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of demonstrated success in Procurement, Leadership, or Project Management.
• Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and multi‑project coordination skills.
• Ability to champion change and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Discretion, confidentiality and security in all activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop long‑term sourcing strategies for raw materials aligned with company goals.
• Lead supplier negotiations and RFPs to secure favorable terms.
• Implement formal supply agreements with key suppliers with legal support.
• Drive cost savings and risk mitigation through supplier qualification and VAVE initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D to support new product development and supplier qualification.
• Ensure compliance with Purchasing Policy and internal controls.
