Consolidated Electrical Distributors in Wichita is seeking a Purchasing Agent to source goods, manage vendors, and support inventory control across multiple suppliers. You will evaluate market conditions, negotiate favorable terms, and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and cost efficiency.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage large projects.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management, negotiation, and networking.
• Analytical skills with ability to make decisions in a fluid environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage large projects and maintain inventory.

Responsibilities

• Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Processing stock and non-stock purchase orders.
• Keep manufacturer cost files up to date.
• Maintain pricing matrices.
• Add/delete products in CEDNet.
• Monitor commodity pricing and availability.
• Annual/defective vendor returns.
• Debit/credit memos.
• Work through freight claims and change order requests with both customers and vendors.
• Inside sales support.
• Creating tickets for customer orders.
• Quoting customer bill of material.
• Schedule and communicate the release of material and delivery expectations with customers and our warehouse operation.
