Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Agent to oversee development, negotiation, and execution of division sourcing agreements and maintain material take-offs. Support the VP of Purchasing by managing the department's timeline and workload within the division.

The role focuses on selecting subcontractors, reviewing plans, pre-qualifying suppliers, preparing bid packages, and buying systems like BuildPro and JDE, with a strong emphasis on cost control and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

• Reading residential blueprints and using Microsoft Excel.
• Strong ability to multitask under tight deadlines.
• Proactive in cost management and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Lennar selects the best subcontractors and monitors their quality, cost, service, and delivery.
• Review and manage all site development plans and specifications.
• Research, pre-qualify, and select qualified subcontractors offering cost-effective construction and services.
• Prepare and analyze bid packages, including Scopes of Work and Payment Schedules.
• Monitor trade partner performance for contract compliance and resolve conflicts.
• Oversee and update contracts, material take-offs, and purchasing systems like BuildPro and JDE.
• Implement material sourcing strategies to optimize supply chains and reduce division costs.
• Maintain relationships with trade partners and ensure adherence to policies and budget.
