Job summary

Lennar is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead supplier and trade partner sourcing across our production communities. You will manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure on-time delivery of quality materials.

The role emphasizes data-driven cost control, should-cost modeling, and close collaboration with field teams. Strong Excel, project management, and communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years sourcing and managing supplier/trade partner relationships, ideally with a national homebuilder.
• Superior analytical and communication skills required.
• Experience with JDE/AS400 and Excel a plus.
• Strong project management and negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure top-quality trade partners for production needs with focus on quality, scheduling, and pricing.
• Conduct trade partner audits for quality and schedule adherence.
• Source, contract, negotiate, and onboard new trade partners with required insurance.
• Travel to sites to report trade partner performance to upper management.
• Develop material sourcing strategies to optimize supply chain flow.
• Monitor industry trends and best practices for sourcing categories.
• Facilitate value engineering sessions with partners and associates.
• Communicate benchmarks and best practices across divisions.
• Develop and use should-cost models for cost estimation.
• Monitor divisional cost per square foot for categories.
• Review and validate pricing and legitimacy of EPOs.
• Clarify scopes of work and resolve issues with Expeditor as needed.
