County of Contra Costa seeks a Labor Relations Analyst to join the Administrator's Office and support the Labor Relations team in administering memoranda of understanding and labor policies. You will analyze grievances, assist with disputes, and provide interpretation guidance to operating departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field such as industrial psychology, business, public administration or labor relations.
Strong ability to interpret labor agreements, laws and policies.
Excellent written and oral communication with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Perform research, analysis and evaluation of facts and conflicting evidence.
Read, analyze and interpret MOUs, laws and policies.
Reason logically and advocate positions through oral or written arguments.
Participate in contract negotiations, administration, grievances and arbitration prep.
Multitask and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.
Build professional relationships with labor groups, departments and agencies.
Represent the division in communications with labor organizations and the public.
Utilize Word, Excel, HRIS and agenda software effectively.
Prepare clear reports and maintain documentation with accuracy.
Work under pressure while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
