Job summary

UNOPS is seeking a Procurement Senior Officer to lead strategic procurement activities for complex projects in Sierra Leone. You will ensure compliance with UNOPS rules, manage supplier relationships, and oversee end-to-end procurement processes from planning through contract management.

The role requires strong negotiation, risk management, and knowledge of international procurement standards. The successful candidate will drive value for money while upholding the highest ethics and practices

Qualifications

• Contract Management experience and knowledge of procurement regulations.
• Experience implementing procurement policies in international settings.
• Familiarity with e-procurement tools and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities in line with UNOPS rules and frameworks.
• Maintain a client-focused procurement system with strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with project teams to develop fit-for-purpose procurement strategies.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle from planning to contract closure.
• Draft LTAs and create purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Support supplier performance evaluations and knowledge sharing.
