Minnesota Office of the State Auditor is seeking an appointed Senior Financial Manager to lead budgeting, fiscal management, and procurement processes. The role oversees facilities, security coordination, inventory, and the phone pool response system for the office.

The incumbent will administer accounting functions, payroll, reporting, and contract management, acting on behalf of the State Auditor during legislative budgeting discussions.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required in public policy, public or business administration, public finance, or closely related field.
• Five years of supervisory or managerial financial management experience in public financing, governmental accounting, or public financial management including budget monitoring, financial analysis, or auditing.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of budgeting principles for preparing, analyzing, monitoring, and reviewing budgets.
• Proficiency with Excel to create and maintain financial spreadsheets.

Responsabilidades

• Direct and supervise the budgeting process and fiscal management for the Office of the State Auditor.
• Oversee purchasing, facilities management including security coordination, and inventory management.
• Coordinate the phone pool response system for the office.
• Administer and control fiscal activities: budget, accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, payroll, and contract management.
