Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or closely related field.
• Requires 10 years in high-level journalism, communications, marketing, and public relations activities.
• Experience with social media and website management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs operations of the Office of Public Communications; promotes transparency in government and enhances the County's digital presence.
• Leads enterprise-wide communications programs and change-management initiatives.
• Forms and executes strategic communications plans for the County management team and elected officials across platforms (TV, print, social).
• Oversees media relations, public information, and the Call Center; ensures quality communications across agencies.
• Manages the Advantage Marketing Program and partnerships to expand outreach and revenue streams.
