Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline. Master’s Degree or CPA preferred.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible leadership in finance, accounting, and budgeting in municipal government, including at least three (3) years in a senior management role.
• Experience with GASB and GAAP standards and GFOA best practices is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates staff; handles employee concerns, schedules, and performance appraisals.
• Manages budgeting, accounting, auditing, treasury operations, investment and cash management, and internal controls.
• Directs preparation of annual budgets, CAFR, and financial reporting; ensures compliance with GAAP and GASB.
