Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or military experience.
• 5+ years of experience in public affairs, issue advocacy campaigns, earned media, political campaigns, or any combination.
• At least 2 years of experience in a consulting or corporate setting, such as a PR agency or trade association.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end strategy and execution of integrated public affairs campaigns across federal, state and local levels.
• Build and leverage trusted relationships with policy influencers, trade associations, think tanks, and nonprofits.
• Cultivate deep relationships with beltway, national and regional media; pitch earned media moments.
• Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders and internal partners to align communications with enterprise goals.
• Draft high-impact materials, talking points, briefs, and position papers on complex issues.
• Design and manage high-impact thought leadership events and policymaker education programs.
• Capitalize on research and data insights to inform policymaker education and shape public opinion.
