Job summary

Flix is seeking a Public Affairs & Strategic Development Manager to drive market expansion through securing critical infrastructure, managing stakeholder relationships, and navigating regulatory processes. You will establish partnerships with public and private entities, lead site acquisitions, and guide state and federal strategy while traveling up to 30% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Communications or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or real estate development, including work with government entities.
• 2+ years of project management experience with strong knowledge of transportation regulations and public transit systems.
• 1+ years of people management experience or experience leading cross-functional teams with in-direct reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations by leveraging government relationships and private-sector negotiation skills.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, municipal councils, and regulatory bodies to support business growth.
• Lead region strategy and align commercial objectives with government policies by identifying opportunities and mitigating regulatory risks.
• Represent the company in discussions with transportation authorities and media and prepare materials for hearings and public consultations.
• Lead site acquisition, ensuring compliance with zoning, permitting, and safety standards across jurisdictions.
• Develop partnerships with businesses, transit agencies, and property owners to enhance station access and amenities.
• Serve as the primary contact for station-related and government relations matters, advocating for the company in infrastructure planning forums.
• Lead strategy and execution of state and federal affairs.
