Flix is seeking a Public Affairs & Strategic Development Manager to drive market expansion by securing infrastructure and managing relationships with key government stakeholders. You will navigate regulatory processes and lead partnerships to access high-value transportation hubs across the United States.

You will oversee state and federal affairs, manage a small team, and travel up to 30% as needs arise. The role requires strong negotiation, policy analysis, and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Communications or a related field.
• Experience owning business strategy and securing government agreements.
• 2+ years in project management with knowledge of transportation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Secure high-impact locations for bus stops and stations via government relationships and negotiations.
• Build strategic relationships with government agencies, councils, and regulatory bodies.
• Lead regional strategy aligning commercial objectives with government policies.
• Represent the company with transportation authorities and media for hearings and public consultations.
• Lead site acquisition and ensure zoning, permitting, and safety compliance across jurisdictions.
• Develop partnerships with transit agencies and property owners to improve station access and amenities.
• Serve as primary contact for station-related and government relations matters.
• Up to 30% travel as needed.
• Manage up to two direct reports with evolving responsibilities.
• Lead strategy and execution of state and federal affairs.
