Job summary

AltaMed Health Services Corp. in California is seeking a Provider Contract Negotiator to negotiate, administer, and maintain contracts with PCPs, specialists, and hospitals to build a high-quality provider network.

You will support managed care growth, onboard new providers, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster strong partnerships, drawing on solid communication, attention to detail, and healthcare industry knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with 2 years of relevant experience or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Healthcare experience in a Managed Care setting or with a physician group is preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or Commercial provider networks is preferred.
• Experience with provider reimbursement methodologies (fee-for-service, capitation, value-based models) is preferred.
• Experience with CMS, DHCS, DMHC, NCQA provider network regulatory requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, administer, and maintain contracts with PCPs, specialists, ancillary providers, and hospitals.
• Identify and onboard new providers to strengthen the network.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and foster strong partnerships with existing providers.
• Assist in tracking progress, enhancing brand visibility, and supporting efforts to secure new contracts.
