Job summary

The Franklin Institute seeks a collaborative, analytical Manager, Prospect Research & Portfolio Development to support prospect research, donor pipeline management, and portfolio optimization. This role identifies major gift prospects, conducts wealth analysis, and produces donor briefings and performance reports to guide fundraising strategy.

Reporting to the Director of External Affairs Operations and Strategy, you will work with frontline fundraisers and leadership to maintain a robust donor

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in prospect research, prospect development, advancement services, fundraising operations, donor analytics, development operations, portfolio management, or related field.
• Experience with CRM and fundraising database platforms and donor/prospect data.
• Strong analytical and research skills with ability to synthesize wealth indicators and engagement data.

Responsibilities

• Conduct prospect research and development to assess donor capacity and inclination.
• Support wealth screening, identify prospects, and qualify for qualification or moves.
• Identify and qualify new major gift prospects to sustain donor pipelines.
• Maintain moves management records and support donor cultivation and stewardship.
• Produce donor briefings, prospect profiles, research reports, dashboards, and portfolio analyses.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and support onboarding and training.
• Stay current on trends and best practices in prospect research and fundraising analytics.
