Job summary

James G. Davis Construction Corporation is seeking a Pursuits Specialist to support project procurement and new business pursuit.

You will develop and submit multidisciplinary proposals, coordinate responses, and write/edit narratives while upholding the DAVIS brand across all materials. The role requires a Bachelor’s in English/Marketing/Construction, 5+ years in proposal work (2+ in development), and strong command of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Marketing or Construction related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least five years of experience, with two+ years in proposal and presentation development.
• Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills for private and public sector proposals.
• Experience with GSA forms and government proposal preparation.
• Excellent organizational and time management to handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office and presentation tools; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to write creatively for different audiences; knowledge of A/E/C industry.

Responsibilities

• Develop and submit multidisciplinary proposals and manage response production.
• Coordinate proposal responses and team assignments; support development and writing.
• Write, edit, and proofread comprehensive narratives and materials.
• Ensure compliance with RFP/RFQ requirements and maintain branding standards.
• Manage project descriptions, resumes, and certifications data; template creation.
• Lead presentation formatting and content development for each proposal.
• Collaborate with market sectors and stakeholders to craft submissions.
