Job summary

Georgia State University seeks a Project Coordinator II to manage a portfolio of complex initiatives for the AVP-SRI and Office of Research & Economic Development. You will lead events, coordinate cross-functional teams, and provide executive support with planning, reporting, and process improvements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with senior leaders, faculty, staff, partners, and vendors.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of executive support, project coordination, event planning, and university business operations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including briefing materials and presentations.
  • Ability to lead events with senior leaders, faculty, vendors, sponsors and partners.
  • Familiarity with procurement, travel, reimbursements, and sponsor registration systems.

Responsibilities

  • Advanced Project Management and Business Operations – plan, coordinate, and monitor a portfolio of complex, cross-functional initiatives from initiation to completion.
  • Events, Convenings, and Stakeholder Engagement – lead high-profile events, workshops, and conferences with budgets and timelines.
  • Team Leadership and Operational Continuity – supervise staff and ensure coverage and procurement processes.
  • Executive and Strategic Support – provide scheduling, materials, agendas, and confidential communications for the AVP and team.
