Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior procurement lead to manage end-to-end procurement on complex, engineered-to-order projects in Minnesota. You will partner with Engineering and Project Management to define specs, evaluate suppliers, and ensure on-time delivery while driving cost savings and risk mitigation.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and ERP skills (SAP/Oracle/Microsoft Dynamics), and experience working across multicultural teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
• 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or project management, preferably in industrial or engineered-to-order environments.
• Experience managing procurement for complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Strong negotiation, supplier management, and contract management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Experience working within cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for projects from sourcing to delivery.
• Align procurement with project schedules and milestones.
• Serve as primary procurement contact within project teams.
• Define technical specifications with Engineering and evaluate suppliers.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to align procurement plans with timelines.
• Drive cost savings through competitive sourcing and negotiations.
• Identify procurement risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Maintain visibility into procurement status and recovery plans.
