Jobtailor is seeking a highly experienced Purchasing Program Manager to lead a small team across two US locations and drive supplier negotiations, sourcing, and MRP-driven purchasing activities. The role emphasizes cost reduction, supplier relationship management, and cross-location collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in procurement or business.
• 10+ years of experience in purchasing program management.
• 3 years experience in manufacturing related to capital equipment.
• 2+ years experience with SQL or similar database structures.
• Strong communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; strong Excel skills.
• Experience using Kinetic ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, development, mentoring for purchasing staff at two locations.
• Obtain best price, lead time, ordering quantities, shipping terms, and delivery.
• Resolve compliance and invoice discrepancies.
• Negotiate long-term supplier contracts and monitor performance.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive cost/quality improvements.
• Generate POs from MRPs and replenishment parameters to meet stock needs.
• Maintain accuracy of POs and pricing in the MRP system.
• Coordinate transportation and international shipping arrangements.
• Communicate delivery progress to procurement customers and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with capacity and aftermarket to meet inventory targets.
• Identify sources for new products and optimize existing ones.
• Develop global collaboration with Netherlands, China, and Latin America.
