Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a Project Procurement Analyst to coordinate procurement for capital projects. You will develop requisitions, guide teams on standards, and collaborate with sourcing to issue RFIs and RFQs.

You will assist in selecting materials and services, analyzing demand, and ensuring timely procurement at the lowest total cost of ownership for projects across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience for Analyst/Grade 6.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma.
• Experience with RFIs/RFQs and material/services procurement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact with project teams for developing purchase requisition requirements.
• Guide teams on standards, policies, and procedures for procurement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to issue RFIs and RFQs and create requisitions.
• Assist engineering, operations, and corporate services in selecting materials and services.
• Coordinate material, equipment, and service specifications for purchase orders.
• Gather data and analyze demand to ensure timely procurement at lowest TCO.
• Route requisitions to supply chain sourcing teams for fulfillment.
• Escalate material and service demand issues to support SLAs.
• Account for lead times and delivery details to track procurement and expediting.
