Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Tennessee seeks an experienced Project Manager to join our State Department of Transportation Client Center.

The role focuses on delivering project management services across a variety of projects, maintaining Barge PM procedures, and building positive client relationships. You will develop and manage projects, lead post-mortem reviews, prepare contracts and PM plans, and coordinate meetings with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE preferred; PMP with equivalent skills considered.
• 6 years of related design/project management experience.
• Experience with TDOT projects.
• Strong design and technical credibility.
• Excellent oral, written and graphical communication.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
• Strong teambuilding skills.
• Able to collaborate with other design disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Work with office leadership to execute proper PM procedures.
• Develop contracts including subcontracts to comply with Barge terms.
• Prepare comprehensive Project Management Plans.
• Lead collaborative work environment and advance positive workplace culture.
• Ensure Quality Program implementation and execution.
• Review project reports and findings; modify projects as needed.
• Provide technical guidance and resolve project problems.
• Act as primary agent between client and project team; coordinate meetings and project delivery.
• May function as a technical lead on projects.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, officials, contractors, and others.
• Attend leadership meetings.
• Support and implement strategic and business planning activities.
• Perform other duties as requested.
