Job summary

Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in Alabama is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our State Department of Transportation Client Center. You will lead project management efforts, develop plans, and coordinate client meetings to ensure on-time delivery and positive business impact.

The ideal candidate holds a BS in Civil Engineering, 6+ years design/PM experience, and preferably a PE or PMP credential. Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration across disciplines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited program.
• PE preferred; PMP candidates with similar skills considered.
• 6+ years of design and project management experience.
• Experience working with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT).
• Strong oral, written, and graphical communication skills.
• Ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines.
• Strong teambuilding and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Develops comprehensive Project Management Plans.
• Leads and facilitates a collaborative work environment and fosters a positive workplace culture.
• Ensures Quality Program implementation and execution.
• Reviews project reports and makes necessary modifications.
• Acts as primary liaison between client and project team; coordinates client meetings and project delivery.
• Occasionally functions as a technical lead on projects.
• Develops and maintains positive relationships with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
• Attends leadership meetings and supports strategic business planning.
