Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Project Lead (Contingency Hire) to manage project initiation through closeout, coordinating logistics, facilities, platforms, and mission-enabling activities in support of ILS2 Task Orders.

This role emphasizes proactive risk, resource, and stakeholder management across the USINDOPACOM area. The position requires 10–15 years of experience, a secret clearance, and strong communication skills to brief leadership and maintain schedule and scope compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience.
• Advanced degree may be required in some disciplines.
• Professional Certification in Program Management (e.g., PMP/CAPM) is preferred.
• Typically 10–15 years of relevant experience.
• Secret clearance.
• Experience managing projects through all lifecycle phases: planning, execution, monitoring, closeout.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders in complex environments.
• Knowledge of project management principles, scheduling, resource planning, risk management, and performance reporting.
• Experience developing project documentation, status reports, and executive briefings.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and closeout of assigned projects.
• Develop, maintain, and execute Project Plans to ensure objectives.
• Coordinate Pre-Deployment Site Surveys (PDSS) and resource planning.
• Manage project scope, schedule, cost, performance, and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and integrate logistics, facilities, platforms, and mission-enabling activities.
• Serve as primary coordination point between program leadership, Government stakeholders, and supporting organizations.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare project documentation, status updates, AARs, and MSR inputs.
• Ensure activities align with mission requirements and contractual objectives.
