Job summary

Our client in San Francisco is seeking a Strategic Project Lead to drive account delivery at the intersection of customers, product, and operations. You will own day-to-day delivery, manage contractors, and run experiments while shaping the product roadmap in partnership with the engineering team.

You will also manage customer relationships, build scalable processes, and contribute to pricing and project economics in a fast-moving AI startup environment.

Qualifications

• 2 to 7 years of experience as an Analyst/Associate at a hedge fund (ideally public markets or tech investing) OR top consulting firm, OR an early-stage startup operator or founder.
• Hands-on AI experience with AI tools (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).
• Demonstrated self-starter with independent project or business.
• Experience managing stakeholders or leading end-to-end project workstreams with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery and quality of products shipped to leading customers, including contractors and experiments.
• Act as a lead product manager, collaborating with engineers to ship features and drive the roadmap.
• Manage customer relationships by understanding requirements and setting expectations.
• Build operational systems with documentation, quality guardrails, and scalable processes for rapid cycles.

Our client is an early-stage AI and data startup has an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Project Lead.

About the Role

As Strategic Project Lead, you will be one of the key people driving account delivery. You will sit at the intersection of customers, product, and operations in a high-ownership, fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

• Own delivery and quality. Run day-to-day delivery of products shipped to leading customers, including managing contractors and running experiments.
• Act as a lead product manager. Form strong opinions on the product, work with engineers to ship features, and drive the roadmap in close partnership with the engineering team.
• Manage customer relationships. Understand requirements, set expectations, and make sure every deliverable meets a high quality bar.
• Build operational systems. Create documentation, quality guardrails, and scalable processes that support rapid project cycles.
• Contribute to strategy and financial planning. Help with pricing, revenue modeling, and evaluating project economics.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves

• 2 to 7 years of experience as an Analyst/Associate at a hedge fund (ideally public markets or tech investing) OR top consulting firm, OR an early-stage startup operator or founder
• Hands-on AI experience: you actively use and build with AI tools (Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.).

• Experience managing stakeholders or leading project workstreams end-to‑end, including working with external stakeholders.
