Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Project Financial Controller to partner with project managers and stakeholders to keep projects financially healthy and profitable. You will handle planning, budgeting, performance analysis and ensure timely financial reporting for complex projects.

You will apply strong analytical skills, ERP experience, and knowledge of project accounting and revenue recognition to drive data-driven decisions and continuous cost improvements across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or a Master’s degree in a relevant field with 2+ years multinational experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial functions in engineering/manufacturing industries.
• Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and planning skills.
• Familiarity with SAP Project Module.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, CPIM) or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Monitor expenditures, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and analyze financial performance reports, including earned value analysis.
• Manage invoicing, revenue recognition, and cash flow for projects.
• Support project managers with data-driven financial insights.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and contractual obligations.
• Collaborate across departments to align financial objectives.
• Drive continuous improvement of project control processes and tools.
