Job summary

Syneos Health is hiring a Project Financial Analyst II in Seattle to support the Unit Controller with monthly revenue records, budgets loaded in Oracle/Revenue Wizard, and variance analysis of backlog and forecasts.

The ideal candidate holds a BA/BS in Business, Accounting, or Finance, 2–4 years of related experience, strong English, and proficiency in MS Office and accounting software, preferably Oracle Finance; pharmaceutical or CRO exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Accounting, Finance or equivalent education/experience.
• Pharmaceutical or CRO experience preferred.
• Strong English proficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is essential.
• Proficiency with accounting software packages.
• Experience with Oracle Finance is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, organizational, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent financial, communication, and interpersonal skills with motivation to achieve.
• Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive data.
• Ability to perform several tasks simultaneously to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supports Business Unit Controller in revenue records for Unit, Fee for Service and Fixed Price contracts.
• Loads project budgets into Oracle/Revenue Wizard and maintains project data in Oracle and schedules.
• Drafts variance analysis of actual vs. budget/forecast and monthly reports.
• Drafts monthly backlog forecasts and forecasts of financial results.
• Meets deadlines for Revenue and Backlog submittals.
• Prepares timely project close-out reconciliations.
• Reviews Work Orders and Change Orders for bonuses or anomalies.
• Collaborates with BU Controller to capture, assess and consolidate results.
• Drafts key reports: budgets, cost rates, forecasting, utilization, headcount, revenue backlog, gross profit.
• Updates predefined reports.
• Attends project meetings, kick-offs, and monthly review meetings.
• Monitors health of projects: revenues, gross profit, receivables, unbilled amounts, closeouts.
