Job summary

Syneos Health is seeking a Finance professional to support the Business Unit Controller in monthly revenue recognition and project financial management. The role involves budgeting, forecasting, and data consolidation across Oracle and related systems.

The candidate will load budgets, prepare variance analyses, monitor backlog, and produce critical reports for leadership. Strong English, accounting software experience, and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent education and experience.
• Pharmaceutical or CRO experience preferred.
• Strong English proficiency and MS Office essential.
• Proficiency with accounting software packages.
• Experience with Oracle Finance is preferred.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Records revenue each month for Unit, Fee for Service and Fixed Price contracts.
• Loads project budgets into Oracle/Revenue Wizard and maintains key lists and project data.
• Drafts project level actual vs budget/forecast variance analysis monthly and monthly reports.
• Drafts monthly forecasting of financial results (backlog).
• Meets established deadlines for Revenue and Backlog submittals.
• Preparation of project close out reconciliations and reviews of Work Orders/Change Orders for bonuses or anomalies.
• Collaborates with BU Controller to consolidate results and draft key reports (cost, expense budgets, cost rates, forecasting, utilization, headcount, backlog, gross profit).
• Monitors health of assigned projects including revenues, gross profit, receivables, and unbilled amounts.
