Job summary

LUMA Energy is hiring a Cost Control Analyst to manage project costs, forecast variances, and document outcomes to ensure projects stay within budget and standards.

You will monitor costs across multiple projects, produce variance reports, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making. Requires 3+ years in cost control, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years of experience in project accounting, cost monitoring, or cost control.
• Experience in regulated utility or EPC environment preferred.
• Certified Cost Technician (CCT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors project costs across the different projects, ensuring budget adherence and financial accuracy.
• Prepares periodic variance analysis reports to track project performance progress, identify variances, and support informed decision-making.
• Analyzes cost trends and forecasts to support project teams with actionable insights.
• Identifies process inefficiencies impacting projects cost and develops corrective strategies.
• Applies industry best practices to internal cost control standards and reporting.
• Follows company policies and standards to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Participates in storm restoration tasks and drills to support reliable recovery of services.
• Performs additional tasks aligned with role expectations and qualifications.
