Job summary

Audubon Companies is seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist to join our Houston, TX team. The role plans and executes cost control requirements for projects, delivering accurate budget tracking and reporting.

You will analyze variances against the approved budget and communicate reasons and mitigation plans to Project Management. You will lead the development of Work Breakdown Structures and Project Coding for contract-defined work and ensure payments comply with agreements.

Qualifications

High-school degree or equivalent is required; College degree preferred.
Requires 3+ years of project cost controls experience.
Strong ability to present information one-on-one and in small groups; proficient with spreadsheets and presentations.

Responsibilities

Perform standard cost techniques and contribute to cost control assignments.
Coordinate with Estimating and Scheduling to establish accurate cost estimates and budgets.
Establish a Cost Breakdown Structure with accounting for asset depreciation.
Enter forecasted commitments and contingency to build project cash flow.
Monitor procurement activity and verify cost coding and budget balances.
Investigate variances and propose corrective actions to management.
