Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Project Cost Controls Specialist to join our Houston, TX office. The role plans and executes cost control requirements for projects, providing accurate budget tracking and reporting, and analyzes variances with mitigation plans communicated to Project Management.

Responsibilities include developing Work Breakdown and Project Coding Structures, ensuring contract compliance for payments, and familiarity with automated cost management systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project cost controls experience.
• Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables for data analysis.
• Ability to present information clearly in one-on-one and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs cost techniques and supports project cost control efforts.
• Develops and maintains Cost Breakdown Structures for project control.
• Enter forecasted commitments and contingency estimates to establish the Project Cash Flow.
• Monitor procurement activity and verify budget balances.
• Analyze variances and recommend recovery plans to management.
• Prepare cost reports and participate in weekly cost reviews.
