Job summary

HPM is seeking a Project Controls Cost Specialist to join our project controls teams. You will forecast, manage budgets, perform earned value analysis, and track risk across multiple sites with up to 10% travel. You will develop WBS and CBS, monitor cash flow, and present findings to clients and management.

You will leverage MS Project, Primavera, Excel, Access, and Power BI to produce insightful cost reports, support change control, and drive standardized cost control practices across projects.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project cost controls experience or extensive project management in large complex facilities.
• Strong knowledge in construction contracts and cost management.
• Strong analytical skills for estimate/bid/budget/cash flow/risk analysis and cost benchmarking.

Responsibilities

• Develop weekly/monthly reports for client and PM staff with input from contractors.
• Support claims and variance analysis using MS Project, Primavera, Excel.
• Prepare client reports based on cost, timelines, site inspections and data.
• Lead cost control, budgets, forecasts, accruals, WBS/CBS development.
• Provide cash flow projections and monitor funding availability.
• Review invoices against contract terms and manage change control.
• Maintain cost databases and perform earned value analyses for risk signals.
• Support project teams across sites and contribute to standardizing tools and processes.
